The Annex

A five-star cottage with two large en-suite bedrooms (sleeps 4-6), private hot tub, swimming pool and tennis court. Recently refurbished and quite charming, The Annex is the end of a traditional Devon longhouse with thick stone walls, slate roof and a rose growing over the doorway - everything you could wish for in a perfect holiday cottage in the country. On the edge of a friendly village and overlooking the beautiful North Devon coastline this property is perfect for a family or even for couples looking for a romantic getaway or a peaceful break.

The panoramic view from the window seat in the upstairs bedroom overlooking the pool - heated Easter to October (shared with the owners) and the sun terrace and tenis court... across the fields to the wonderful North Devon coastline

There is a fully fitted kitchen/diner with all the modern facilities and appliances you would expect (and more!) and a delightful lounge with a cosy woodburner for any cooler evenings. Both the lounge and the kitchen/diner are double aspect, catching both the morning and evening sun. They have big glass doors onto the patio by the pool where there is a delightful suntrap, paved with huge old slate flagstones. This has seating for 6 and can be used as a dining area with a gas barbecue provided. This is also where the large Annex hot tub is located. There is nothing healthier than a dose of fresh sea air, winding down towards the end of the day in the hot tub, watch the sun go down or to simply star gaze and you will be well on your way to the best night's sleep ever!

The Annex is delightful Winter or Summer. Easily accessed from the M5 / North Devon Link Road but far enough away from any major roads to feel quite undisturbed by traffic noise or polution. It is a holiday treat you will want to return to year after year!

NOTE: There are some steps on the groundfloor of The Annex (one between the kitchen and lounge and a small step into the bathroom) which may make it unsuitable for people with limited mobility despite having a downstairs bedroom and bathroom. if you would like further advice, please do get in touch
