Lessons and board hire are available at many beaches but we do provide some body boards (and a few hand-me-down children's wetsuits if the chill is a problem) for our guests to take to the beach if they have room in the car.
Alternatively, why not try mountain boarding; "The Total Wipeout" or the climbing wall and high ropes course at the Ultimate High Adventure Centre, a centre for all extreme sports (in the village) or paragliding above the cliffs; windsurfing or sailing in the estuary, go kiting or kayaking; climbing or abseiling? Another local adventure centre Skern Lodge could also show you the ropes and provides many activities for families to do together or for teenagers to escape to!

The Annexe is a five-star cottage that sleeps up to eight people, with two en-suite bedrooms and exclusive use of a hot tub, swimming pool and table tennis table. It also has shared use of a tennis court with the owners (though they rarely use it!). Part of a charming 17th-century Devon longhouse, The Annexe boasts thick stone walls, a slate roof and a rose growing over the doorway. The property is located at the edge of a friendly village, overlooking the beautiful North Devon coastline, and is the perfect holiday location for families, friends and couples alike.
