No agency fees. Book direct and the personal service and attention to detail provided by the owner can make a real difference, not just to the cost, but the whole experience of booking self-catering accommodation.

These holiday homes are family friendly but still ooze luxury for a real treat. Rented for the last 13 years by owners Jacquie and Steve Willoughby (who live next door) it is possible to book direct, saving the agency fees required if booking through a third party. Jacquie and Steve are both local to North Devon, (Jacquie was born in the village) so are passionate about supporting the local business and farming community. This does mean that although their children have now flown the nest, they have a huge support network locally and can certainly recommend the best places to visit, to eat or to buy holiday souvenirs.

Not only do these two holiday homes have stunning, stand-out facilities (like the private hot tubs, swimming pool, tennis court, table tennis, pool table....) but there are also many thoughtful extras provided by the owners to help you have a particularly stress-free and memorable holiday. Both have excellent heating and cosy wood-burners for any stormy evenings. Both have more “wow” and more space than you would normally expect from a holiday rental. Both are extremely well equipped and are perfect for a special celebration or a relaxing break.

    The Annexe is a five-star cottage that sleeps up to eight people, with two en-suite bedrooms and exclusive use of a hot tub, swimming pool and table tennis table. It also has shared use of a tennis court with the owners (though they rarely use it!). Part of a charming 17th-century Devon longhouse, The Annexe boasts thick stone walls, a slate roof and a rose growing over the doorway. The property is located at the edge of a friendly village, overlooking the beautiful North Devon coastline, and is the perfect holiday location for families, friends and couples alike.
