Family Reunion October 2019

Milestone birthdays, anniversaries or just to catch up... making time for friends or family is a lovely way to celebrate a special occasion. A quality rental property, like Southclay and The Annex, with heaps of space to all get together and be sociable but also space for everyone to do their own thing is priceless. September for Sunrise Yoga, Sunsets and Star-gazing!

September sunshine has been a delight! An Indian Summer? Certainly, a treat for our guests coming to stay for a late Summer/Autumn break. The middle of September was nicer than the middle of July or August this year! Clear, cloudless blue during the day and beautiful crystal-clear, star-lit skies at night. This September has been exceptional, the early morning, misty sunrises have tempted me out into the garden with my yoga mat and the sunsets have been extraordinary! Watching the sun fall into the sea at the end of the day or lying back in the hot tub with a glass of something cool whilst the sky is lit up then the stars come out makes me grateful to be alive. I LOVE September.

Childhood memories of the family treat we enjoyed for many years for my younger brother's birthday always come flooding back when it's carnival season and the fair is in town. Bideford Carnival is always a rather ragged assortment of Carnival Queens and Princesses... majorettes... a few floats that are thinly disguised advertising for local businesses... lots of pushy parents and for the last 15 years the wonderful Massed Pipes and Drums. It is always really well supported by the local community, it is great fun and a lovely evening's entertainment.
