Chimneys Swept and Fires Lit

Autumn is officially here. The leaves are turning a fantastic colour this year in North Devon, mushrooms and toadstools are sprouting and walks through the woods are a must when coming to stay for an Autumn/Winter break. Hunker down by the fire for a truly cosy feeling when you are ready to shut the elements out and enjoy our luxurious holiday accommodation, perfect for a winter let.

The chimneys were swept last week, thank goodness as the weather has turned wintery. Logs from the woodland nearby have been chopped and stored and we are all set to snuggle up by the fire: to play a board or card game with family or friends, to watch the rugby, to read a good book or do a jigsaw. The fire becomes a magnet in any room as soom as the flames start to flicker and all our wood-burners have clear-view doors so that our guests can enjoy the fire without having to worry about smoke or sparks.

Both Southclay and The Annex have wood-burners and are perfect for a cosy Winter break.
