New Sculptures for Cooper Street in Bideford

BillandPeach Shaw Metalwork have finished the first stage of a wonderful commission to make and erect steel, copper and brass sculptures around Bideford in North Devon. One is a cooper making barrels the second, an old Bideford merchant. Two more to follow... to celebrate the history of the town. Sponsored by Rob and Grahem Braddick and Torridge District Council these first two pieces will form part of a sculpture trail set high up on prominent buildings in Bideford.

The cooper will be in Cooper Street of course! Rob Braddick is pictured left with the sculpture before it was erected. The challenge to to come and find them now they are up!

Bill and Peach Shaw, the creators of the sculptures are well liked, hugely skilled local artists and pieces of their work can be found at The Appledore Crafts Company and in many other venues around North Devon.
